Hi, I’m Luigi.

I'm the Founder of MLinProduction.com.

I lead machine learning teams. In the past I've held roles as a data scientist, ML engineer, and data engineer. I've worked for large public companies and for tiny startups, taught graduate courses in data analysis and big data engineering, and have consulted for Fortune 100 companies.

I've had one consistent goal throughout my career: To build real machine learning systems that deliver massive amounts of business value. Now I'm teaching other ML practitioners how to do the same. I'm excited to be learning with you!

My goal is to help Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and AI Product Managers, build and operate real world machine learning systems in production.

As a practitioner, I know that the hardest parts of building ML systems involve infrastructure, feature engineering, deployment, and monitoring.

But it's impossible to know that if you don’t work in the field. In 2018 I realized that what I did as a data scientist didn't align with what the internet said I did as a data scientist. This inconsistency leads to confusion and dissatisfaction in data science jobs.

That's why I started MLinProduction.com to:

1) Make it easy for data scientists, ML engineers, and AI product managers to find high-quality machine learning resources

2) Help ML practitioners solve real challenges they face in their day-to-day work.

Now I'm taking another step in this mission by starting MLinProduction Academy, my online school for data scientists, ML engineers, and ML Product Managers.
